How many amps should my Tesla charger use?

It depends on your vehicle, daily driving and available electrical capacity. If you want the fastest home charging and the electrical system supports it, we can configure compatible equipment for 48-amp charging. We may recommend a lower setting when it better fits the home or the way you drive.

Can my electrical panel support a 48-amp charger?

Panel size alone does not answer that question. We review the panel and the home's electrical capacity before recommending a charging rate. Start by sending clear panel photos through our quote form.

What if my home does not have enough capacity?

Dynamic load management may allow the charger to use available power intelligently without relying on a costly service upgrade. We evaluate whether that solution is appropriate for the home.
